Objectives of Education

Piano Program

Our undergraduate piano program aims to raise highly skilled and qualified professional players equipped with a broad knowledge on music history and theories.

Master music history and theories

Encourage students to meet the requirements for professional piano performers by learning music theories including the history of western music, counterpoint, accompaniment, and harmony.

Refine piano techniques

Encourage students to develop excellent piano playing skills needed for various types of performances such as, solos, chambers, accompaniments, and others.

Cultivate vocational ethics of a professional

Cultivate students’ abilities, adaptabilities, and vocational ethics of a professional player which are necessary for various fields like chamber orchestras, music education, and so on.

Vocal Music Program

Our vocal music program aims to cultivate students' musical talents, enhance theoretical and practical skills, and foster competent singers and music teachers who have both theoretical and practical competence through diverse performance experiences.

Cultivate qualified professional vocal performers through the study of music theory and various cultures

Cultivate qualified professional vocal performers through the study of music theory and various cultures by offering comprehensive studies of western music and languages, a systematic approach to music theory, practical lessons of oratorio and opera, voice training, and acting lessons.

Broaden students’ musical horizon through providing a lot of stage experience

Broaden students’ musical horizon through a lot of stage experience such as, regular performances, operas, and solo recitals offered at the College of Music.

Support the advancement of students into a wide range of careers

Comprehensive educational programs on ensemble, conducting techniques and modern music are provided to students in order to support the advancement of students into a wide range of career path after graduation.

Instrumental Music Program

Our Instrumental Music program fosters excellent musicians with outstanding playing skills, theoretical competence in music analysis and orchestration, and a clear vocational ethics necessary for a professional.

Excellent training in various performance styles such as chamber orchestras, symphony orchestras, and solo recitals.

Master music theories related to orchestral music such as counterpoint, orchestration, and music analysis.

Cultivate vocational ethics required for professional musicians and the adaptability required in various fields such as, chamber orchestras and symphony orchestras.

Music department office

The office is in charge of answering students inquiries related to school affairs including registration for courses, credit acquisition, curriculum, graduation screening, graduate school advancement, and scholarship programs.

During the vacation : 09:00 - 15:00
Lunch break : 12:00 - 13:00
