Welcome to the homepage of the School of Music at the College of Arts of UOU

The School of Music at the College of Arts of UOU has strived to cultivate musicians and music teachers that play a pivotal role in our society by providing and enhancing comprehensive education encompassing both theories and practical skills through the curriculum, maximizing individual characteristics of piano, instrumental and vocal music majors since its inception in 1998.
The School of Music has also been fulfilling its mission of carrying out social contribution activities for our local community as well as fostering musicians with excellent music skills on top of good character and sociality. Of all these efforts that we have made; the free local master class, the free Ulsan children ensemble festival(Teach for Ulsan) and the Ulsan piano academy along with local pianists are believed to be contributing exceptionally well to our local society.
We will also nurture an optimum educational environment with the best facilities, outstanding teaching staff, active support of alumni and various scholarship programs.
At present 30% of the undergraduate students and 70% of graduate school students of our school have benefited from scholarship programs. We will also strive to prepare more scholarship programs in order to ensure that more talented students take advantage of the opportunities available to them.
All our faculty as well as myself will devote ourselves to inspiring the hope that the world-class music education can be provided at this university, overcoming the limitations as a local university and furthermore raising the overall standard of Korean music
